THE DESIGN
The label is an original design by GraysCornerGoods in royal blue on white. SMELLS LIKE sits in small letterspaced capitals over MARCH IN KENTUCKY in heavy varsity block type, with an asterisk that leads to the footnote *notes of hardwood, nerves and hope. A small basketball sits on the rule line, and the base line reads LIGHT AT TIPOFF and BURN THROUGH OVERTIME. The joke is on the label. The scent is the one you choose.
THE PRODUCT
A 9 oz soy candle in an amber glass jar with a black lid and a cotton wick. It burns for 50 to 60 hours. The design is printed on an adhesive label on the front of the jar. Choose from the menu before you add it to the cart: eight scents (Comfort Spice, Eucalyptus Lavender Herb, Fresh Balsam, Honeysuckle, Pink Grapefruit, Sea Breeze, Spiced Pumpkin Ginger, and Vanilla Bean), or Unscented if you want the joke without the fragrance.
MADE TO ORDER
Nothing is printed until you order it, so each one is made for you. Printing takes a few business days for most orders, and up to 10 business days in the holiday rush. To be safe for Christmas, order by December 4, 2026. Because each item is made to order and shipped by a carrier, I cannot guarantee a delivery date.
CARE
Trim the wick to a quarter inch before each burn. Never leave a lit candle unattended, and keep it away from children, pets and anything flammable. Stop burning when half an inch of wax is left in the jar.
